..while i was teaching the lovely Lauren how to layer in her journal i took some photos of the layers you can add to your backgrounds using everyday items..i hope the writing is clear enough so that you can see the types of things used
bubble wrap from parcels..comes in all sorts of sizes
sequin ribbon (punchanella)
..your old credit cards, edge of a rule,r in fact any straight edge
..baking mesh(i've never used it for baking!!) also a mini head massager i had leaves great dots!
printing with the flat edge of a rubber makes a really good brick effect
..thought you might like to see the progress on the journal pages
..wasn't sure about this folded page idea but am really beginning to like it
..the page i started with the Monday night journal class has its next layers on..
..this was the progress on the Sunday class..
...i started a new background..the colours are lime green and raspberry..liking this one

Cool journal pages! I'm trying to add more layers to my sketchbook pages these days because I think it adds such wonderful dimension. Thanks for the tips!
