...in the background...

..a few more backgrounds in my tag Journal..next months Journal Workshop is about layering..i am prepping the backgrounds and beginning to layer...


..Lillian gave me a sample of these amazing watercolour powders at the weekend to have a play...oooo i love the results and i'll be showing what happens as i progress through the stages..thank you Lillian for a very happy playtime...



..what is going to happen to these pages i'm not too sure but one thing i know..when i get the back gounds ready everything slots into place in its own time when the inspiration hits





..i think i confessed a couple of posts ago about my Paper Chase moment these are a couple of the papers i got attached to..



..this page back ground was coloured with inktense pencils and is waiting for more layers,doodles, embellishments and a couple of tags

Hi Sandra - like this post - lots of variety and inspiration. Love the birdcage paper. Looking at your leaf journal background set me thinking (careful!!) about using the leaf as a mask, then designing background, remove leaf, then hey presto - a leaf shaped journalling spot! Enjoy!

Glad you liked the powders. Haven't been brave enough to try them myself yet. Building up to it, still finding the randomness (is that a word) difficult to cope with. My life is straight lines, symmetry and predictability, which art journals defy. Watch this space.
